From the Garden

Does this card look familiar to you? Look on page 21 of the Spring/Summer Stampin' Up catalog! There it is, only I put the little flower with the brad in the center on the right side instead of the left. I don't know why I don't use the great ideas in our catalog more often. Of course Debbie had done this first and I copied hers. Some Groovey Guava ribbon and a chunk of cardstock, plus the Wild Wasabi torn piece and a background stamp of dots called Polkadots and that is it. Thanks for looking.........time to check out some more clever cards in our catalog.

Just Like You

This picture doesn't do this card justice........it is so simply beautiful. Another of the swaps at Debbie's house, I just loved. Certainly Celery background cardstock with the matching ribbon. She used the Almost Amethyst cardstock with Lovely Lilac ink for the flowers, words and paisley background on the bottom. We dotted the center of the flowers with the uniball pen. The Warm Words are from Hugs and Wishes. Nice card ..........I'm sorry the picture isn't very clear. I'm having trouble downloading from my camera...........maybe today I'll get to the repair shop to see what is wrong. Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Said

This is such a clever card that was part of the swap at Debbie's house. At first glance the pink strip is the look of pretty ribbon, but it really is a bit of pink cardstock with white dots made with the Uniball pen. Two different designer papers on the Barely Banana background paper, a quick stamp with the flower stems, and different colored paper for the flowers. A brad in the center of the two-step flower on the left and there you are. Thank you to Chaille for this nice card. My computer had a melt-down over the week-end and though I had it fixed on Monday, I can't seem to download any pictures from my camera! I have some beauties waiting, so another trip to the repair shop and hopefully I'll be in luck to show you what we did at Sue Dillon's house. I spent some hours there and would somehow like to take her stamping room home with me! Wow..........it is the greatest! Thanks Sue for inviting me over, or did I invite myself? However I had a great time and the soup was tasty too.

Heartfelt Thanks

One of my all time favorite stamp sets on this pretty card that was done at Debbie's downline meeting! And now I'm not sure who did this one, but I can picture her face!!! I always think I'll remember everyone's name, but I don't. She also used the Define Your Life stamp set for the words on the bottom left corner. Her color combination is so nice with the Brilliant Blue on the Gable Green. Lots of tearing which you all know I like to do. The flowers are cut out and raised with some dimentionals......nice card don't you agree? Thank you, friend.

Dahlia Fold

You may have seen this card before if you check out Virginia's blog (on my favorites site), but in case you haven't I wanted to share the card she sent for the swap. It is so easy, but it looks so beautiful. This designer paper has so many wonderful uses! Her background cardstock is Cameo Coral paired with Mellow Moss. She used a couple different background stamps and the words are from the Always set. The gingham ribbon just finishes this card to perfection. Thanks, Virginia, it was so great of you to send it down to us!

Happy Everything

I was going to be so careful to mark each card that was swapped on Sunday and tell you who made which...........well, I think this was the one that Cindy created, but now I'm not sure! Anyway it was a clever one. She used both kinds of beads on the sticky letter and then stamped the rest of the "appy" beside it. Obviously I got too much of the h in my stamping on the side....I did better on the second one I sent to Virginia! A little bit of doublesided designer paper on the bottom and it's all done. A pretty quick card and very pretty! Thanks, Cindy.

A Good Egg

I was so happy to have Sue Dillon and Debbie come to my house on Monday morning to just sit and stamp...............well, that was the plan! Debbie's car was giving trouble and she had to have it towed to the shop from here and I had a pipe spring a leak in my kitchen! Needless to say it wasn't a quiet stamping morning, but we didn't stop stamping through it all! This was the card that Sue was working on.....I love it. Now I have to have this set, of course. She used Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava with a small chunk of Afternoon Tea double sided paper. A scallop edge with the corner rounder, some ribbon and there you are, isn't he darling?

Live Your Dream

This is kind of a rough draft of the card I plan to use as a swap for Sunday.........guess I better get busy and really finish it hadn't I? It needs some eyelets or brads or something in the center of the flower. What you can't see, is that it has a part of a sack inside to place a gift card. The set is from the new Occasions Mini collection...........there are so many great sets in this little book, I'm afraid I got carried away! The cardstock is Groovey Guava, Choc Chip and Confetti White. I colored the flower with markers on the stamp Just a little bit of bling with the rhinestone brad. Best I finish it for Sunday quickly!

Adorable Easter Baskets

Aren't these the cutest little baskets you ever saw? I found them on this website http://leslierich.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

Sunday is the day we meet at Debbie's for her downline meeting so I'm going to take one of these for each of the girls! They are quick and so much fun to make. Thanks to this great stamper who has the best blog! I better get busy, I still have seven more to make and I haven't eaten one piece of candy yet!!

Cherished Memories

Okay, okay, this will be the last one I show you, but there are many more!! I tell you we really had a good time with these Rub-ons the other night. This one is from Cherished Memories and the border is from Eastern Elegance using the Basic Gray again........what great note cards! Now I'm getting ready for another shoebox swap this coming Sunday at Debbie's house. These girls are good, so I have to work at this!

Black on White

Here's another version of the Rub-ons. We really couldn't decide which we liked better, the Basic Gray with the white or the white cardstock with the black. Both were stunning and equally easy. Again this is the Eastern Elegance with the words added. Those words were from Cherished Memories. Any words from our vast array of word stamps would work nicely stamped in Basic Black for a quick any occasion card. Stop by again.

Simplicity Counts!!

How about using some Rub-ons? Well, on Friday evening my sister-in-law, Georgia and I sat for several hours just using them! What fun we had and so simple!! I had been ordering them off and on ever since they came out at Stampin' Up but seldom used them. That night we only used them on either white cardstock or basic gray and we were so pleased with the results. This is called Eastern Elegance and is in the Spring catalog. Now I can add a Birthday greeting if I want or even a Sympathy word and I'm all set. If you haven't tried them, you really should, they are quick and simple!

Easter Wishes

Well, well, I finally got the picture from the camera to a spot that I could download. I need a personal computer assistant!! But.......thanks to Dawn Griffin I made this cute little matchbox candy holder. Just a piece of CS cut 31/4" by 81/2" and scored at 31/2" and again 71/2". The bottom edge was supposed to be scalloped the other direction, but of course I don't have my slit punch with me! Fold on the score lines and staple the bottom under the tie of the ribbon. Be careful not to catch the upper flap in the staple! Now a cute little package of candy, maybe jelly beans will fit inside. Kind of cute don't you think? Dawn used the "Good Egg" set which is really nice, but I don't have that stamp! Check out her blog here http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/ She has lots of tutorials that are great!

Berry Bliss

This is my favorite designer paper in the new catalog and Lyn has used it superbly. It blends so well with the Close to Cocoa paper and then she used the felt flowers, cut out flowers and the pretty rhinestone brads in the center. The words are from that wonderful Sincere Salutations set. Stop by again.........love my new camera by the way!
