Wanted!

I'm so excited this morning...........my new camera arrived via UPS last night at 10PM! I'm so hoping I'll be smart enough to take some wonderful pictures. Here is one of my first .....Debbie sent this to me and it is a beauty. Love the running horses and guess I would have been smarter to have taken this with a darker background, but I'm just practicing at the moment. She said this was some retired designer paper, but I think you could just direct to paper for the similiar results. The stars are popped with dimensionals and the perforations really add to the finished look. I like this card! Stay tuned for some great pictures!!!

Enjoy Every Moment

Here is a card that we made at Debbie's downline meeting held at Sue Dillon's house. I wish you could all see Sue's stamping room..........we would all be happy to have that kind of room. She surely has a clever husband to build all the pull-out drawers, etc! Anyway, back to the card.......Groovey Guava cardstock with Bayou Blue on top. Guava and Bayou blue ink on the white and groovey Guava ribbon! Dots of white Uni-ball gel pen make the card pop. Thanks, whoever designed this beauty!

No Stamping!!

This card is one that was made with no stamping at all! Thanks again to Lyn for this neat addition. Groovy Guava cardstock, with with Ginger Blossom dbl sided designer paper, ribbon, scallop punch and a rhinestone brad in the middle. Great card, don't you think?

Pretty Petals

Whatever happened to a whole week!! Lots of company and more on the way today. About the card..........Lyn and I spent a long time on this one! It was the swap she did for the meeting at Sue Dillon's house and it only uses the background stamp Pretty Petals. We used markers in Guava and Wasabi to color the stamp and then stamped on the white CS. Then we cut it in thirds and mounted on Wasabi, Guava and then Wasabi again. The grosgrain ribbon is mounted on a 1/2" strip of cardstock. A quick card once we decided the colors and dimensions and quite effective I think. Sorry I have been out of touch for so long, I'll try not to let this happen again! Don't give up on me, girls.

Always

Isn't this a beauty? Thanks again Lyn, what a nice job. I believe she embossed the heart with white on red cardstock, tied that nice red ribbon and added the pretties stick.........that is what really made the card. Stay tuned, I have a wonderful collection of cards that Lyn brought down to show us.

Lyn's Valentine Beauty

Oh my goodness.........what a wonderful week-end in my life!! Debbie and I picked up Lyn at the airport Thursday evening, came back here for a bite to eat and the stamping fun began. This is a card that Lyn brought to show us and it is gorgeous. The new sticky letters and the red beads on top of the new striped grosgrain ribbon. I had hoped to get to make one while she was here, but there just weren't enough hours in the day..............and our days were pretty long, stamping at night until about 1AM! Friday was Debbie's Stamp a Stack that was the best ever,. From there we had a great dinner at Plillipi Creek, one of my favorite seafood spots in town, then we caught the sunset at Siesta Key Beach. I'm glad we got our feet in the sand that night, because Saturday was a bit rainy, although we didn't notice it much from our stamping table. Lyn and I stamped all afternoon and into the evening, or should I say the wee hours of the morning! Sunday was Deb's downline swap meeting at Sue Dillon's house and we made eight more cards there! Whew, I don't get week-ends like this often. The toughest part was sending Lyn back to WV on Sunday night.........my sides are sore from laughing, though! I need to rest and I'm sure that Lyn does too. Thank you for coming Lyn and for bringing me all the cards to share with my friends!!

Happy Heart Day

I can't believe that I haven't shown you this card, it was the first one I stamped with Debbie. The way we colored this made me remember to use those chalks!! Just a Q-tip and a swipe on those little babies and there you have it! Of course I didn't bring mine with me,but I borrowed Deb's to play with again. What is nice about the chalks is the fact that when you buy them you get all the regular SU colors in one box. Anyway, two slices of designer paper, a piece of ribbon, a button and there you go. All done, quick and cute don't you think? Stop by again.

Embrace Life/Elegant Cheer

You are probably getting sick of Embrace Life, but I'm not! I colored the flower with crayons and cut around it with my trusty little SU scissors. Then I centered the rhinestone brad and mounted it on top of the vine. The smaller flowers are colored with a marker and carefully stamped separately on top. The words are from the Elegant Cheer set.

Don't forget to head over to my studio on Saturday for the Support the Troops packaging day!

Celebrate Everything!

My humble apologies for not posting in so many days............between being busy with company, and having the computer on the blink, I have been remiss. The next few weeks are going to be spent with family too, so what can I say, I'll do my best! First of all, a phone visit with Judy Tinker was so exciting .......next Saturday the stamping ladies and some close friends will be gathering in my studio to pack more boxes for the Support the Troops effort. What is exciting? There will be a photographer there to take pictures and do a write up for the local news buletin. I hope they have a good turnout!! We have had such good support from local people on this project we started in November. I'm so glad that Judy and Tammy are keeping this thing going! Good luck girls. I believe they are meeting at one o'clock on February 9........try to help them out, please. At this point they have four names of men in Iraq that they are sending boxes to, Doug Ayers, Andy Hutson, Jason Boyce and Jason Wallace. If you know of any others serving outside the country please let one of us know.

The card today? Well, I made this for a good friend, Max who is celebrating a birthday today. This set is from the new Spring/Summer catalog and uses some twill tape, scallops made with the slit punch and of course the star punched with the new punch. I'm not sure who came up with the creation at our recruit meeting, but thanks anyway, I like it for a man!
