Tart and Tangy

Hi there stampers........just when I think I have this computer figured out I hit another snag! This card is a form of the cards shown on this website, a favorite spot of mine. http://chicnscratch.com/stampinacademy. She has done some great videos you will love to watch. I chose the scallop punch instead of the square ones and just love the orange slice in the middle! The cardstock is really So Saffron, but it doesn't look like it in the picture. Old Olive and Only Orange for ink and markers with Old Olive ribbon. The words are from Time Well Spent. Yes, you can see I'm using Old Olive more and more.........thanks for stopping by.

Bloomin' Beautiful

Here is the second card that we made on Tuesday evening at Stamp 10. I just love this set from the Occasions mini catalog and this one is a simple but elegant card, I think. Just the use of the Soft Sky cardstock, a strip of the Afternoon Tea designer paper, chocolate chip ink pad and taffeta ribbon................a quick card, but effective! I saw this at Debbie's, but not sure who to give the credit. Stop in again soon!

Enjoy Every Moment

I didn't realize how appropriate this card was for last night..........I certainly did "enjoy" being back with my stamping friends in Tully!! We had a great turnout and good fun again. We made a scrapbook page or a card like this one, another card and a cute candy favor holder. This group is so fast, I can't believe how much we did in such a short time. The designer paper is from the new Occasions mini called Afternoon Tea and the scallops were made with the slit punch and dotted with uniball pen. Groovey Guava ribbon just gave it that special touch. A special thanks to those girls that switched nights just for me, it was great to be back!

Live Your Dream

Here is a card made with one of the wonderful sets in the Occasions Mini. I must admit, I ordered so many sets from this catalog! Debbie Moczek made this card with my set using the little strip of Afternoon Tea designer paper and picking the colors from that strip. The flowers are stamped, cut out and mounted with some dimentionals on the Close to Cocoa CS. I'm sorry I didn't take the card out of the clear envelope so it wouldn't shine and you could see the white dots with the Uni-ball pen on the scallops. Such a pretty card. Deb is using the set this month and then she'll send it back and we'll use it up here in May. Just love that little catalog!! Check it out. Tonight we will be using the Bloomin' Beautiful set on page three.

Fabulous Flowers

I think we are getting back to normal......whatever that is! I'm sorry I haven't been good with the blogging, friends, we have returned from the wonderful weather in Florida to the gorgeous weather in central New York. I'm claiming we brought it, and you are welcome! Of course it still could snow, but we surely are enjoying what we are getting at the moment.
This is a card we made at Sue Dillon's house and of course I had to order this stamp set immediately......it is one I have wanted for a long time, and this card pushed me over the edge. We'll be doing this card soon, I'm sure. What do you think? I'm not going to give away the secret of how she got the colors on the flower, but my colors are Summer Sun and Ruby Red. I am anxious to get back to stamping and looking forward to my Stamp 10 group meeting tomorrow night. I have so many new ideas to share! Thanks for stopping by today and I'll try to post more often!

Two-Step Stamping

Here's another version of one of my favorite sets, Heartfelt Thanks. Some of my friends would not have done this without the Stamp a Ma Jig ( I won't mention names!) but I kind of like this with the top color a bit askew. We used Barely Banana with some Night of Navy cardstock and Navy ink for the words from Sincere Salutations. The flowers were stamped and then punched out with the square punch. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.
