Salty Whale Wishes

Good Monday morning.............this is a card I made to send to Debbie to thank her for the nice unexpected gift certificate for Stampin' Up products. Deb is my upline in Florida, everyone should have one just half as nice! And now to explain the card. This is one of the samples we did in my Technique classes this month with the salt background. We spritzed the white glossy cardstock with water, dropped a little inker on it and quickly spread it around with the aquapainter (one of my favorite tools). Before it dried we sprinkled salt on and then left it to dry. That took quite a while! When dry, we brushed off the salt with a stipple brush and stamped on top of it with Stazon. The inker color was Bordering Blue, as is the background cardstock behind the salt sample. I just love the seaweed in the Whale Wishes stamp set! Black gingham ribbon is threaded through the slots from the slit punch and the words are from
Priceless stamped on a piece of salted background punched with the large oval punch. Itty Bitty background of course on the sides. Everytime I use that set, I think about my telling Debbie that set certainly wasn't necessary.....only dots! I use it everyday and hope they never retire it. Thanks for peeking in............
